The IACP partners with the Center for Health and Justice (CHJ) at Treatment Alternatives to Safe Communities (TASC) to help state, local, and tribal jurisdictions implement evidence-based, systemic solutions at the front end of the justice system to respond to the substance misuse that often underlies justice system involvement. This includes assisting law enforcement and other first responders to develop pathways to treatment for individuals at risk for substance use disorder. This page lists COSSAP resources, including articles, case studies, and webinars geared specifically to inform law enforcement and other first responders about multidisciplinary efforts, related topics, and training opportunities regarding the implementation of first responder diversion programs.
