2023 COSSUP National Forum
COSSUP: Championing The Power Of Recovery And Hope
August 29 - 31, 2023
The 2023 Bureau of Justice Assistance’s (BJA) Comprehensive Opioid, Stimulant, and Substance Use Program (COSSUP) National Forum will create a place for persons with lived experience along with practitioners, agency and community leaders, service providers, and innovators from across public safety and public health disciplines and levels of government working to come together to reverse the tide of the substance use crisis.
At this year’s forum, the COSSUP-supported grantees will both offer and receive training and practical information on expanded, comprehensive, equitable, and sustainable responses to substance use disorders (SUDs) and overdose prevention that prioritize prevention, treatment, recovery, and harm reduction.
The COVID-19 pandemic created opportunities for practitioners to identify and implement new methods of providing vital services while forming new partnerships to make certain that necessary services continued safely. These innovative responses have resulted in a renewed energy for action and for hope: prevention works, treatment is effective, and people can—and do—recover. Please register and join key federal agency leaders and SUD training and technical assistance providers to continue the national conversation on this challenge.
About The Forum
This national convening, hosted by BJA through COSSUP, will focus on tackling one of the most critical challenges of our time: putting an end to America’s opioid, stimulant, and substance misuse crisis. The in-person event will allow participants to connect directly with colleagues, hear from federal experts, discuss relevant issues and trends, share ideas, exchange resources, and gain new skills to improve programs.
